Privacy and cookies

This notice explains the information used to operate FineME and the choices available when reading the website or viewing advertising.

Website information and data

The website publisher is FineME. The contact page provides the current public enquiry address.

You can read public research pages without creating an account. Operating the website may involve the following information:

  • Preferences: the selected language is remembered in a cookie. Your country watchlist is saved in your browser on that device; clearing browser storage removes it.
  • Operation and security: the hosting service and application may process request information such as IP address, requested page, time, browser details, session information and security events to deliver pages, diagnose faults and protect access. Security-event samples use a keyed client reference rather than a raw IP, keep up to 100 records, and are pruned after seven days by scheduled maintenance.
  • Enquiries: if you email the publisher, your address and the information you choose to provide are processed to handle the enquiry. Email is handled by the relevant email services; there is no public contact submission form on this page.

Google advertising and cookies

Google and third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.

Google advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Depending on your location, settings and applicable consent, ads may be personalised, non-personalised or limited, or may not be shown.

Advertising technologies may process identifiers, device or browser information and interactions with ads for delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and personalisation where permitted. Google explains its processing and the advertising partners involved in the linked resources.

Your advertising choices

You can opt out of personalised Google advertising through My Ad Center. You can also visit the industry choice page below to explore opt-outs offered by participating third-party vendors. These services are provided by their respective operators.

Your browser can block or delete cookies and website storage. Doing so can reset the language or watchlist and affect some website features. Browser controls and advertising opt-outs do not necessarily stop all advertising.

Where a consent message is applicable, use its choices before advertising is delivered. For personalised ads in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google requires a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB TCF. A link or a checkbox in this website’s admin settings does not itself establish that this requirement has been met.

Advertising choices may apply to a particular browser, device or account. Google privacy controls do not delete your emailed enquiries or the watchlist stored in your browser.

Retention and external services

Information is kept for as long as needed for the purpose described, including handling enquiries, operating the service and protecting security, subject to applicable obligations. Browser preferences remain until they expire or you clear them; hosting, email and advertising providers apply their own retention rules.

Links to reports, providers and external services take you to services with their own policies. Review those policies before sending them information. FineME cannot change their account-level settings for you.

When enabled, Ask FineME sends questions to Groq for AI processing. Non-personal, non-sensitive public questions and their AI answers may be retained in a shared cache for up to 30 days (90 minutes for FineME evidence-based explanations) to reduce repeated API calls. The cache stores no asker identity or IP. Questions marked private or detected as sensitive are excluded. Administrators can delete entries.

Privacy questions and requests

Use the public contact address to ask about information you have provided or to request access, correction or deletion where applicable. Describe the request without sending passwords or sensitive financial records. We may need proportionate information to identify the relevant enquiry or record.
