FineME · How we prepare information
Evidence, calculations and their limits.
This policy explains how to interpret FineME pages and how to flag a problem. Read it alongside the methodology for each type of analysis.

Separate facts from interpretation
Source observations and filed report values are factual inputs. Screening scores and plain-language summaries are derived outputs. Scenarios change selected assumptions to show a possible effect; they are not claims that an event will happen.
Automatic processing and summaries
Imports, calculations and many explanations are generated automatically from structured data and rules. They may miss context, contain mapping errors or use incomplete reports. FineME does not describe every page as expert-reviewed. Readers should consult the underlying report for a material decision.
Respect reporting periods and missing data
Countries publish at different times, and companies can report in different currencies and accounting formats. Annual figures, quarterly figures and trailing twelve-month totals are not interchangeable. A missing value is not zero, and an import timestamp is not the publication date. The page should identify gaps rather than invent an estimate.
Report and correct an issue
Please send the page address, disputed value or wording, reporting period and supporting source through Contact. The operator can check the report, mapping or explanation and correct it when warranted. Source organisations may also revise historical data. There is no promise of continuous monitoring, a fixed response time or a complete public revision history.
Report a data issue →Advertising does not determine results
Paid placements are labelled as advertising. They do not set the screening formula or constitute an endorsement of a company, security or financial product. A data-provider credit is attribution, not a claim of partnership.
Use as a starting point
FineME is an educational research tool. A high or low score does not establish that an investment is safe, that a business will fail or that a crisis will occur in a particular year. Consider the original documents, current events and your own circumstances before making a decision.
